What is
The Lincoln
Academy?
The Lincoln Academy (TLA) is a K4-12 public charter school serving Wisconsin residents and committed to reflecting the diversity of Beloit. Built with input from the community, access and equity drives TLA as an innovative, high quality, free public school option. We expect ALL scholars to graduate from high school with a clear pathway to success.

The structured school day at TLA ensures scholars are able to focus on our three pillars:

Academic Rigor
Character Development
Career Exploration

TLA is dedicated to providing scholars an environment conducive to the learning process. We prove what is possible when scholars are given the right combination of school culture, strong academics, career integration and a mission-driven staff.
We are the home of The Lincoln Academy Lions. We offer Fall, Winter and Spring athletic opportunities for middle and high school scholars, along with clubs and extracurricular activities.
The Three Pillars
Rigorous Academics
We will ensure all scholars are prepared with foundational skills. This will be accomplished through specifically designed curriculum, interventions, enrichment, blended learning opportunities, strong professional development, coaching, and a growth mindset expectation.

Character Development
A strong emphasis on character development and citizenship will build our school culture. Civic responsibility, service learning and community outreach will play an important role in developing character in our scholars. Restorative Practices and Character Strong for character education will guide The Lincoln Academy in a joyous, collaborative and healthy school environment where all scholars thrive.

Career Exploration
Career exploration will begin in K4 and scholars will develop an Individualized Learning Plan by 8th grade to help guide them in their course selections in high school. Scholars will set career goals and be fully prepared to graduate high school. They will be able to have choices to enroll in a 2 or 4 year college or technical school, enlist in the armed forces or be employed in a living-wage job.
