Local Students Place Wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier

BELOIT — Some local 8th grade students were able to take part in an honorable activity on May 30 as they were chosen to place wreaths at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Washington, D.C.

Colin Flanagan, Kauri Mejia, Dylan VanFleet and Jacob Flory were selected to take part in the ceremony. In order to be selected for the honor, the students had to write essays on the importance of honoring those who served in the military and national monuments which were built to honor them.
