Yolanda Rivera

Director of Scholar Services

Yolanda Rivera, who assumed the position of Director of Scholar Services at The Lincoln Academy in January 2021, is deeply committed to enhancing K-12 public charter school education to ensure that every scholar not only reaches but surpasses their full potential. She plays a pivotal role in advancing this mission at The Lincoln Academy by fostering a positive, well-structured, goal-driven, parent-friendly, and data-oriented approach to guarantee the success of all scholars. Yolanda's core responsibilities encompass overseeing administrative aspects of scholar enrollment and records, ensuring compliance with state reporting requirements, managing restorative discipline policies and procedures, implementing scholar support systems, addressing attendance matters, upholding residency standards, and engaging with the community and families.

With over a decade of dedication to the field of education, Yolanda brings a diverse background that includes experience as an elementary teacher, K-8 computer specialist, K-8 camp director, office administrator, and data analyst. As the first college graduate in her family, Yolanda earned her Bachelor of Business Administration degree with dual majors in Marketing and Real Estate & Urban Development from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She furthered her education by obtaining a Master of Business Administration degree with a specialization in Human Resource Management from Capella University. In May 2019, she added a Data Analyst Certification from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee to her academic achievements.

In her role at The Lincoln Academy, Yolanda channels her unwavering passion for continuous learning and a positive approach to inspire scholars to become active, contributing members of the Beloit community. She places a high value on partnerships with both parents and teachers to provide support for scholars throughout their educational journeys. Yolanda firmly believes that fostering a love for learning and nurturing positive character traits are essential foundations for the success of every scholar. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she eagerly anticipates connecting with numerous families and community members in Beloit and remains steadfast in her commitment to ensuring equitable access to education for all scholars.

During her leisure time, Yolanda finds pleasure in a variety of activities. She delves into self-help literature, indulges in TV show marathons, enjoys live concerts, explores wineries, savors delicious cuisine, and cherishes quality moments with her family and friends. Her interests also extend to attending live jazz music performances, embarking on adventures through travel, and creating memorable experiences with her son, as well as her two loyal companions, her pug named Helen and her Chihuahua named Pablito.

Additionally, Yolanda has long harbored aspirations to explore destinations like Greece, Paris, England, and Africa, and she has a strong desire to embark on a scenic boat cruise to Alaska in the future.
