Tavi Riddle
K4 - 5th Grade Principal
Tavi Riddle joined The Lincoln Academy team in August 2021 as the Assistant Principal of
Instruction. She deeply believes that both a culture of joy and rigor can, and should, go hand in
hand for an impactful and rich learning experience at all ages and is proud to be part of that
vision at TLA. Tavi is excited to have the opportunity to coach and collaborate with an already
excellent teaching staff as they make each scholar’s “highest self” the number one priority.
Tavi most recently served with a major urban district as a special education, general elementary,
and project-based learning leader at various points during her four year tenure. She has also
held posts in Cambodia, the UAE, and Uganda as a classroom teacher, phonics coordinator,
and co-chair of the early years departments. In addition, Tavi has had over four years of
experience in the charter world as a founding teacher and art educator in New Orleans,
Louisiana.
Tavi holds a Bachelors of Science in Childhood Education as well as a Masters of Science in
Special Education, both from Nyack College. She is currently completing an additional Masters
in Administrative Leadership, including both principal and director of curriculum and instruction
licensure.
Tavi is a proud native of Beloit and thrilled to be back near her family which has deep roots in
the community. Outside of school, you might catch her power walking around town with her son,
doing yoga on the riverbank, or buying baked goods and crafts at the farmers market.
