What is
The Lincoln
Academy?
The Lincoln Academy (TLA) is a K4-12 public charter school serving Wisconsin residents and committed to reflecting the diversity of Beloit. Built with input from the community, access and equity drives TLA as an innovative, high quality, free public school option. We expect ALL scholars to graduate from high school with a clear pathway to success.

The extended school day at TLA ensures scholars are able to focus on our three pillars:

Academic Rigor
Character Development
Career Exploration

TLA is dedicated to providing scholars an environment conducive to the learning process. We prove what is possible when scholars are given the right combination of school culture, strong academics, career integration and a mission-driven staff.
We are the home of The Lincoln Academy Lions. We offer Fall, Winter and Spring athletic opportunities for middle and high school scholars, along with clubs and extracurricular activities.
The Three Pillars
Rigorous Academics
All children can and will master the fundamental academic skills they need to graduate high school and live productive choice-filled lives. This means every scholar is learning at or above grade level within three years of enrolling in our school, and our graduates are ready to pursue a career in an industry they choose.
Character Development
We will live up to the example of Abraham Lincoln. Extraordinary men and women rise to every challenge, commit to self and others, and are not deterred by challenge. Industry and ingenuity matched with hard work and dedication to cause are the defining characteristics of successful individuals and communities.
Career Exploration
Career exploration and planning will be part of every aspect of our curriculum. We want children to envision a productive future after high school in a career or industry that drives and challenges them. TLA will help scholars set academic and professional goals and will offer each scholar academic and career opportunities in school that prepares them to meet those goals immediately after graduation.
